I have a lot of thoughts.
I know, I know, doesn’t everyone?
But I was thinking, maybe if I could form my thoughts into cohesive sentences, it might be relatable, or helpful, to someone else too. And what better place to do this than the internet? I’m kidding (mostly). I keep a journal for the deep stuff, but I’ll take this space for what I’m calling my ramblings.
Here is the place for my jumbled thoughts on life, jobs, hobbies and basically whatever else my brain comes up with. I tend to be a quiet observer in most situations which gives me a lot of time to think. Or maybe it’s my current hour+ commute to and from work every day.
Regardless of where the thoughts come from, I decided to come back to this little blog on my website as a landing space for them. I created this website as a class assignment during college, and as part of this class, we also had to create blog posts. I diligently completed the assignments (which are still here for your perusal). After the class finished though, I proceeded to ignore the blog portion of my website. I obviously kept (and still keep) the portfolio portion up to date as I was entering my senior year and the daunting task of applying to post grad internships and jobs.
However, my professor during the class encouraged us to keep up with the blog portion. I’m only now taking this advice, two years post grad. Better late than never, right?
Why now? I realized I was beginning to crave a creative outlet where I could practice my writing skills. As a public relations girlie, it’s important to keep this skill honed and ready for action, and it’s been a while since I’ve been able to really USE this skill. Sure, I write little things here and there for work, but I haven’t been able to actually write.
So now I’m here, on my little corner of the internet, writing my inner ramblings down. I have no clue if anyone will actually read this, but if you’re here, hi and welcome to my brain. I hope you’ll find something helpful. If not, I hope you at least enjoy the ramblings of this 20-something year old.
