Heyyy. Heyy. How y’all doin?
That TikTok sound is playing in my head right now. I know I said that I was going to be posting on a regular basis… I made a whole two posts before that stopped. To be fair, my life kind of exploded in the fall of 2024 right after that second blog post. Let me get you up to speed.
After I posted my second blog, I celebrated my 25th birthday with a dance class followed by ice cream and fireworks on the beach with friends. Little did I know what my 25th year would bring me. October was focused on the big fundraiser event for the nonprofit I was working for. On top of planning and executing that, I was also interviewing with Hershey Parks and Paramount Pictures. I even flew up to Hershey for a final interview and spent a weekend there at the end of October.
I ended up not getting the Hershey Parks job. However, I did get the Paramount Pictures job! Film publicity has always been my career end goal, and I finally made it to a studio! I got the offer on November 1, and my world changed. I spent November wrapping up my time at the nonprofit, packing up my apartment, spending as much time as possible with friends that had become family, and moving out of Orlando.

I had a two week pit stop in St. Louis for Thanksgiving and started my new role as a Publicity Assistant remotely before moving out to Los Angeles at the beginning of December. My dad, sister and brother in law all made the two day drive with me from St. Louis to LA. December was spent settling in to life in LA and putting the final touches on my new apartment.

The new year started with the devastating wildfires in the Palisades and Pasadena. At one point, a fire broke out in Runyon Canyon, and I did have to evacuate – that was terrifying. Luckily, that fire was put out quickly, and I was able to return back to my apartment the next day.
In February, I started to branch out and explore LA more while getting started in my dream field. 2025 brought five movie campaigns, countless adventures in LA and beyond, new friends, two weddings, lots of visits to Disneyland, and some pretty amazing memories.

Now it’s 2026, and I want to get back to writing. I promise I’ll be better this year than I was when I first started. I’ve been in LA for one whole year (crazy!!), and I’ve caught my stride at work. Now it’s time to nurture some sideswept hobbies.
Here’s to 2026!
